All I Did Was Just Show Up and Got Rewarded
Setting clear intentions and having intrinsic motivation are important
I started my Lalitha’s Morning Musings Podcast when I turned 60 a couple of years back. I was nervous but had the deepest desire to share my experiential wisdom humbly. All I did was allowed my “Higher Power” to guide me. Today as Spotify shares these statistics as a Slideshow titled “Your 2022 Wrapped is ready” I want to take you through the slideshow as you are a part of every episode and writing.
Slide 2: I just committed to doing one episode at a time. That was my intrinsic motivation. No strings attached. Learning how to do a podcast and enjoying the process was my true intention. But Spotify sends me this message and it is so humbling to note that without even consciously setting any specific goal, I was able to create so much new content and that too more than 93 percent of other creators.
Takeaway: Set a clear intention to do a task. Make sure you are intrinsically motivated. Take one action step to fulfill your intention. Allow your Higher Power to guide you. Your task will be completed more exquisitely than you plan.
