I don't think I can advise. Let me see if I can explain how I practice being productive and at the same time best myself up.

When I read the book "The Power of Slow' I realized that
When you slow down it will help you make better decisions, connect deeper with people, have more meaningful experiences, all while improving your mental well-being by avoiding burnout. You may go slower, but you will go further.

I consciously became clear of just three things I wanted to accomplish and would do them in a time affluent way not time stressed.

I would tell myself in an objective way in second person
"Lalitha, it is ok you did not complete the task today. You are aware of the fact that you have not completed today but you made a beginning."

When I spoke to myself that way it was like

"A very good friend is validating my situation in a compassionate way''

That makes me feel that I am not a loser, but being practical and honest to my true self and not hurting the inner child. Instead I mark the steps that would take the next day in my calendar. This whole process makes me feel authentic , compassionate and raises my self esteem.

I feel great to have clear empowering self-talk and accomplish the tasks without feeling rushed or belittling myself.

Meditation, journaling, Emotional Freedom Technique, breathing techniques etc have helped me get clear with my daily purpose and accomplish the tasks in a calm and centered way
