I guess the reason is
We are afraid to ask for that money that we are worth?
We are used to being salaried and scared to explore self-employment as it comes with its own consequences.
I transitioned from being a National Science Talent s Scholar chemist to high profile Banker to Legal assistant to Manager and eventually self employment. I could understand your stand but I completely believe that you have a fantastic future ahead. Best of luck
