… on to be award winning and hugely profitable for her, Gimble, and Gimbel’s associate, Charles Fox. Unfortunately Lieberman was never given proper writing credits for her poem and, as such, never received compensation for her own, Flack’s, nor the later Fugees’ profitable remakes.
