Tolerations and Preventive Over Solutions- My Insights
What Does Toleration Mean?
Toleration is the allowing, permitting, or acceptance of an action, idea, object, or person which one dislikes or disagrees with.
In Coaching, we use several tools like Ultimate Scenario, Habit Builder, Tolerations etc. We will cover the “Tolerations” tool today. In this exercise, the client is asked to identify what she is tolerating physically, mentally and emotionally. Later the Coach and the client go through to discuss its impact in their life and business. As a client initially I never realized the value and was skeptical too. But with experience I can say that this is a valuable tool. Over time we tend to get dragged down by accumulating material things, unresolved emotional issues and unmet needs. This leads to lethargy, energy drain and a fuzzy mind.
Writing down what you are tolerating physically, mentally and emotionally(we have specific tools) will raise your awareness and you will naturally start handling, fixing and resolving them. You will also create what I call Over solutions as a preventive measure.
